Pinterest’s interface is portrait-oriented so vertical pins with a 2:3 ratio are best. The recommended size for your image should be a 280 x 280 pixels square which will be cropped and displayed as a circle. Therefore your profile photo is the primary means for your followers to identify and recognize you. The profile photo you use is particularly important because Pinterest has no header image. As a social platform, Pinterest is primarily a visual one, so it’s important that the images you use for your profile and for your posts are of the best possible quality. It’s as simple as typing in search queries and discovering images to “pin” and collect as a Pinterest “board” specific to that theme or subject. So they like to know that when someone clicks to their profile (from a pin, or just to research them a bit) its look is cohesive.Users flock to Pinterest to find and share inspiration for a wide variety of topics such fashion, design, food and events. Meanwhile, my clients are typically online coaches, service providers, and course creators. Pinterest has signaled that followers will become more important on the platform, moving forward.Idea pins (formerly story pins) are all the rage – and the built-in calls to action at the end of stories is to visit your profile.(We don’t link pins to the home page, but pinners can click through to your home page from your main Pinterest profile page, right?)
